The meeting focused on digital freight dimensioning, automated documentation and the optimisation of logistics processes.
During the visit, CARGOMETER presented its test stations, server room, warehouse, production area and several software modules currently in development, including AI-based functions for Dynamic Freight Dimensioning.
Japan vs. Europe: Logistics challenges in direct comparison
The joint visits to customers in Austria and southern Germany – including Andreas Schmid Group, Gebrüder Weiss (Vienna & Nuremberg) and neska Schiffahrts- und Speditionskontor – highlighted the similarities and differences between the two logistics markets:
- Japan: high labour costs, severe labour shortages, limited and expensive logistics space
- Europe: increasing automation pressure, rising demand for efficiency and transparency
Toyota Tsusho confirms: CARGOMETER reduces workload, lowers process costs, and automates measurement and documentation without interrupting material flow.
