Linux DevOps Engineer

As a member of our development team, you will be working on an innovative 3D measurement system to deploy and monitor the system in a Linux environment.

Your role

As a member of our development team, you will be working on an innovative 3D measurement system to deploy and monitor the system in a Linux environment. The priorities are process automation, up-time, robustness and optimization of the system. Your duties will involve all aspects of system administration including maintenance, system design and implementation with the aim of improving the current setup and developing new services and features. In addition, you will support the administrative team in all cloud services as well as basic IT-relevant issues.

Your profile

Sound Linux and network knowledge with experience in the areas:

  • Linux server administration (Nginx, Postfix, Debian-Packages, Backup, DRBD, GlusterFS, DNS)
  • Network configuration and security
  • Automated server setup and software deployment (Ansible)
  • Virtualization (KVM, Docker,…)
  • Monitoring and logging (Icinga2, Grafana, InfluxDB, ELK,..)
  • VPN (strongSwan, OpenConnect, OpenVPN) 
  • Continuous integration (TeamCity)

The following knowledge is an advantage:

  • Programming knowledge in Python
  • Database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence,…) and Cisco products

Your profile
  • You have extensive experience with Python, PostgreSQL and MongoDB technologies.
  • You are experienced with automated software rollout (Ansible).
  • A good knowledge of Javascript frontend frameworks, HTML and data visualisation in Metabase is an advantage.
